Jerry Stuit

June 21, 1955 – June 14, 2026

Jerry Stuit, born and raised in New York with a heart as big as the state that made him, passed away on June 14, 2026 - just one week before what would have been his 71st birthday. He lived every single one of those years with the kind of passion and full-throttle commitment that left everyone around him better for knowing him.

Jerry was, simply put, the life of the party. Whether he walked into a room of strangers or lifelong friends, his energy was magnetic and his generosity knew no bounds. He loved deeply and without reservation, and he gave everything he had - to the people he cared for, to the moments he lived in, and to whatever he set his mind to. You never got half of Jerry. You got all of him.

A proud New Yorker through and through, Jerry was rarely seen without his beloved Yankees hats - a fitting symbol of a man who was loyal, spirited, and always in your corner.

Nothing mattered more to Jerry than his family. He adored his children, Brenden and Kara, and his grandchildren - Brenden, Thomas, Kaylee, and Christiano - who he loved without distinction, whether by blood or by the beautiful bonds life brought his way.

Jerry is preceded in death by his first wife and the mother of his children, Pam. He is survived by his children, Brenden and Kara; his grandchildren, Brenden, Thomas, Kaylee, and Cristiano; his daughter-in-law, Ashlee; his brothers, Terry and Dana; his sisters-in-law, Jolene and Theresa; his spouse, Jackie; and many nieces, nephews and in-laws who were lucky enough to call him family.

The world was louder and brighter with Jerry in it. He will be missed more than words can hold.
