Jo-Ann Angelina Bonetti Paden

May 5, 1944 ~ January 1, 2026

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jo-Ann Angelina Bonetti Paden, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who left us peacefully on January 1, 2026, at the age of 81.

Jo-Ann was born on May 5, 1944, in Newburgh, New York, to Mary Crusco and Joseph Bonetti. She was raised in Central Valley, where she became a cherished member of the community. Jo-Ann graduated from Monroe-Woodbury Central High School in 1962 where she played basketball, softball, and partook in the Library Club, Make-Up Club, and Girls' Chorus.

On March 22, 1969, she married George Robertson, with whom she shared many years and two children before their paths diverged. Jo-Ann later found love again and married Robert Russell Paden on November 10, 1985 with whom she welcomed her third child. Their marriage lasted until his passing in 2001. In her later years, she enjoyed the companionship of her partner, Robert Cignarale, until his passing in 2017.

A devoted and loving mother, Jo-Ann is survived by her three children, Tracey (and partner Kevin), Michelle (and husband Van), and Michael. She took immense pride in her grandchildren, Corey, Casey, Kyla, and Zach; and found great joy in her great-grandchildren, Mason, Alexa, Skylar, Daniel, and Amoura. Jo-Ann is also survived by her siblings, Darlene, Joseph, Jimmy, and Angelina. She was predeceased by her sister, Mary-Lee. She also adored her nieces & nephews, Cheryl, Kenny, Larry, Jamie, Kristina, Jaquelyn, Carly, Kate, Kelly, Joey, and many grand-niece/nephews with a particularly close and special relationship with Gianna.

Jo-Ann was not only a loving family member but also a dedicated professional. She owned Joanne's Beauty Salon in Central Valley, where her talent for hair and makeup styling flourished, allowing her to bring beauty and confidence to many. She also spent many years waitressing at Perkins in Vails Gate, Cracker Barrel in Fishkill, and other restaurants where she brought joy to regular customers and bonded with other staff. Later in her career, she retired from Keller Army Community Hospital in West Point where she worked as a medical receptionist.

A practicing Roman Catholic, Jo-Ann was a regular at Sacred Heart-St. Patrick's Church in Woodbury, where she found strength and solace in her faith. Her commitment to her beliefs was evident in her daily life and interactions with others.

Jo-Ann embraced life with enthusiasm and warmth. She loved to dance, finding joy in music and movement, with a life-long love for the voice of Elvis Presley. Cooking Italian meals for her family was one of her greatest pleasures, often bringing loved ones together around the table for food, laughter, and connection. She also enjoyed beach days and spending time with friends at card game nights, creating memories filled with joy and camaraderie.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 10th from 2:00~5:00pm at Brooks Funeral Home located at 481 Gidney Avenue, Newburgh, NY 12550.
