Joanne N. Esposito, 71, loving wife and mother, entered into rest Saturday, February 2, 2019. The daughter of the late Elbert and Marion (Smith) Word, she was born in Winthrop Massachusetts on May 13, 1947.
Joanne was a 1965 graduate of Valley Central High School in Montgomery, NY, and worked as a seamstress. A loyal Catholic, Joanne devoted her life to God and taking care of her family.
She will be dearly missed by her husband, Frank A. Esposito; children: Frank Esposito of Wallkill, James Esposito of Walden, and Janine Esposito of Kingston; siblings: Deborah Colandrea of Newburgh, Rodger Word of Wallkill, Robert Word of Haywood, CA, and Carolyn Payton of Buchanan, GA; grandchildren: Krista-Anne Esposito of Walden and Jessica Winchell of Wahiawa, HI; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Allen Esposito, and sister Linda Steinhilber.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 & 6-8 pm on Wednesday, February 6 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. A Mass will be held at 10 am on Thursday, February 7 at Sacred Heart Church, with burial following in Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor.
