John H. Allen

December 6, 1942 ~ February 3, 2025

John H. Allen, 82, of Blanch, North Carolina, peacefully passed away on February 3, 2025, at Taconic at Beacon Nursing Facility in Beacon, New York.

John spent his career serving as a clerk for the U.S. Postal Service, dedicating many years to public service. He resided in Dutchess County, New York, where he built a life surrounded by family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Annabel Allen and Daniel Allen; his siblings, Peggy A. Winstead, Ann M. Allen, and Thomas Allen.

. John is survived by his loving daughter, Odella Allen of Albany, New York; and his sister, Louise E. Allen-Pyles of Newburgh, New York.

. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will cherish his memory.

A memorial service will be held in the comfort of the family at a later date. John will be remembered for his dedication to his work, his kindness, and the love he shared with those around him.
