John Joseph

John Joseph Ilacqua Jr.
July 1, 1970 ~ December 12, 2024
Marlboro, NY
Today and always we celebrate the life of our beloved John J Ilacqua,
or to friends and family "JASSL-G" or "Jazzy". John resided in Marlboro, NY
and joined our Lord Jesus CHrist on December 12th, 2024, in his family's
home surrounded by his favorite people, his wonderful children, daughter
and son in law, and his loving wife.
John was born on July 1st, 1970, in Port Jefferson, NY to Louise and
John Ilacqua Senior and a sister Janine. John married the love of his life on
June 29th, 2007, and had the same wedding anniversary as his mother and
father-in-law Lucile and Richard Demonsi. Some friends he adored were
Francine and Jimmy Delmar. A friend and neighbor whom he bonded
deeply with during troubled times and vice versa has been Michael
Schmidt. John loved to have breakfast sandwiches before work every
morning from The One Family Deli, as he was always friends with Brain
and the family and was treated like a family member. One of his dearest
friends was Daryl Widman whom he worked with for many years; they had
an unbreakable bond and friendship outside of their working relationship.
He was a hardworking self-employed man, he owned and operated
"JASSL-G" lawn care and maintenance. He enjoyed teaching and working
with his sons Adreano, Santino and Geo, who have wonderful memories of
snow plowing and hot cocoa with dad. His landscaping empire is passed
down to sons Geovanni and Santino Ilacqua to continue on his legacy, and
for this John was exuberant. Growing up Apollonia remembers enjoying
music with her father, and hearing stories of his childhood and life. They
then bonded over his beautiful first granddaughter Angela with whom he
shares a birthmark that will always remind her of grandpa and his love. As
a family John and Lisette, with their amazing children enjoyed camping,
and trips to the beach. He taught his children many things, and was a dad
they could depend on.
John was a boyscout in his young life and had achieved his eagle. He
enjoyed Bmx bikes, ATV riding, and four wheelers. He enjoyed music, time
with his kids, playing with his granddaughter Angie and cracking jokes.
John was an altar boy as a child, and went on to practice Catholicism
throughout his adult life. He believed that Jesus Christ is our one and only
Lord and Savior.
He was predeceased by his beloved son Adreano Ilacqua, his loving
mother and father Louise and Jon Ilacqua Senior, his wonderful mother in
law Lucile DeMonsi, and father-in-law Richard DeMonsi waiting with open
arms to welcome him to the Lord's home.
Jon is survived by his godmother and aunt Barbra, and cousin Kevin,
his beautiful wife Lisette DeMonsi, his vivacious granddaughter Angela
Love Goicochea, his caring, and altruistic daughter Apollonia Ilacqua, his
son in law Paul M Goicochea, His charming and strong son Santino and
wife Rachel R Ilacqua, and his youngest son the hilarious, and fun loving
Geovanni Ilacqua.
