John J. McCue

January 2, 1945 ~ May 1, 2024

John James McCue, 79, a lifelong resident of Cornwall  NY, passed peacefully May 1, 2024 surrounded by his wife and family.

John was a proud US Navy Veteran  and  enjoyed telling of his days overseas during his enlistment aboard the USS Forestal.

Afterwards, his navel training landed him a career at IBM East Fishkill, where he worked for 34 years working his way into management.

After retirement he enjoyed being a snow bird and traveling to Florida.

He loved his camping and talking with anyone who would listen. His stories of growing up in the small town of Cornwall will linger forever in our hearts.

John is survived by his loving wife, Joanne (Tallarico) McCue; sister, Doris (McCue) Jaczko; brother-in-law Anthony Tallarico; daughter, Joyce (McCue) Caci and her husband John; son, John McCue and wife Dawn; as well his two granddaughters, Mikaela and Juliana.

He will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held at Brooks Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 7 from 4 - 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis Church on Wednesday, May 8 at 10 AM followed by burial with military honors at St. Francis Cemetery.
