Jorge Alberto Ayala Sr., affectionately known as "Papi" and "Coqui", was born on July 14, 1957, in Bayamon, PR. He passed away at the age of 68 due to cardiac arrest at St. Lukes Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh, NY on January 12, 2026.

Jorge is survived by his mother, Gloria Diaz; his wife, Crucita Ayala; his children: Jorge Alberto Ayala Jr. "Kiko", Cynthia Enit Ayala, Cheila M. Ayala, Alberto Jorge Ayala, Francheska M. Ayala, Luis Antonio Ayala, and Cassandra Enit Ayala; his brothers Nelson Ayala and sister Zulma Ayala, and nephew, Victor Rivas and Jeyson Ayala. 22 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by his father, Juaquin Ayala, and his sons, Jorge Alberto Ayala Jr "Tito" and Soniel Alberto Ayala "Sunny".

Visitation will be held from 3 pm to 5 pm on Saturday, January 24 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Avenue, Newburgh.
