Jorge Garcia Guevara

Jorge Garcia-Guevara, a long time resident of Newburgh, entered into rest unexpectedly on June 4, 2023 at Westchester Medical C enter. Jorge was the son of Gilberto Garcia and Crescenciana Guevara.
He was a very outgoing, joyful, hard working, and loving father, husband, grandfather, and uncle to all. He loved to dance and always lightened up a room with his character. He will be remembered for lighting up any room with his smile, jokes, and good spirit. He enjoyed to dance and music. He was a long time employee of Tesa Tape and never stopped working; he was also a long time parishioner of St.Patrick's-St.Mary's Churches in Newburgh.
On January 26, 1974 he married his loving wife of 49 years Adela Garcia (Cardoso). In unity they raised their one and only daughter Gabriela Maribel Garcia (Sanchez). The best part of his life was being a grandfather to four grandchildren: Gilberto Cesar Garcia, Damian Sanchez, Victoria Sanchez and Valentina Sanchez. He also leaves behind his sister Gudalupe Garcia Guevara and many nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and his only son in law Heriberto Sanchez.
Visitation will be held at Brooks Funeral Home on Thursday, June 8 from 4 - 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Church on Friday, June 9 at 10 AM, followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery.
