Joseph J. Grimm, Jr.
Joseph J. Grimm Jr. of New Windsor NY died peacefully after a long illness in Beacon NY on March 21, 2023. Joe was the son of the late Joseph & Patricia Grimm.
Joe graduated from Highland Falls High School and proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1959 to 1963 as a member of the 38th Tactical Missile Wing stationed at Sembach Air Base, Germany.
Joe was retired from the Social Security Administration as an operations supervisor, and he enjoyed a long retirement as an avid golfer. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Newburgh NY.
Survivors include his loving wife, Patricia (Irwin), son Patrick Grimm, daughter Diane Kirby, granddaughters Johnna Dion & her spouse Chris, Erin Duncan & her spouse Kevin, Taylor Crawford & her spouse William, 4 great grandchildren, several cousins, nieces and nephews & great-nieces & nephews. He was also previously deceased by infant grandchild John Kirby.
The family would like to thank the North 2 & South 2 staff at the Fishkill Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing in Beacon NY. Although Joe was only there for 3 months, they gave him tender loving care during his stay.
In keeping with Joe's wishes, there will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 1, at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 145 Benkard Ave, Newburgh NY.
