Joseph T. Molloy III
April 3, 1959 ~ April 30, 2026
Joseph T. Molloy III, 67, of New Windsor, NY, passed away on April 30, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loved ones.
Joe, also affectionately known as Dad, Daddie, Grandpa, and Funcle (fun uncle)/UJ/Uncle Joe, was born on April 3, 1959 in Poughkeepsie, NY to Joseph T. Molloy Jr. and Charlotte Ray. He grew up in Hyde Park, NY, in a huge house with his 8 wonderful siblings. He often shared his fond childhood memories of attending the ‘69 World Series (Let’s Go Mets!), once “borrowing money” from the late great Walt Fraiser, and the infamous family cross country road trip.
He married Noelle Caminito, or as he would call her My Beautiful Bride, on December 1, 1990. Together in their 35 years of marriage, they shared many spontaneous, fun- loving adventures with cherished family and friends.
He earned his CASAC certification and had a long, fulfilling career as a substance abuse counselor for over 30 years. He changed countless lives with his empathetic and non-judgemental nature. Although he recently retired, he continued to use his time serving and impacting the community he loved through part-time work and volunteering.
Joe was known for his sense of humor, full spirited nature and the love he had for his family and friends. He was a diehard Mets, Jets and Knicks fan throughout his life. He was always on the hunt for a new antique store to expand his salt and pepper shaker collection. One of his favorite things to do was sit on a park bench while pondering the individual and unique stories of each and every person who passed by.
He is survived by his wife, Noelle Molloy, his children, Joseph T. Molloy IV and wife Alicia Molloy, Amanda Molloy and her partner Luke Keith, his grandchildren, Brianna Molloy, Joseph T. Molloy V and Silas Molloy, his siblings Jeanine (Keith) Armbrust, Brian (Mary) Molloy, Patrick (Kim Brown) Molloy, and David (Jenn) Molloy, and dozens of other family members including his nieces, nephews, and cousins and too many friends to count. In addition to his human family, he is survived by his beloved fur babies, Porkchop and Nasir.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday May 6, 2026, from 4PM - 7PM at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday May 7, 2026, at 11AM at the Sisters of the Presentation Chapel, 84 Presentation Way, New Windsor.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sparrow's Nest or The Ella Rose Foundation. Joe spent two years volunteering for Sparrow’s Nest, helping to deliver food to families navigating a cancer diagnosis. Also, very near and dear to Joe’s heart was Miss Ella Rose and her siblings Jack and CJ, whose foundation helps to support families and children with special needs receive services and equipment not covered by insurance.
Joe was compassionate, kind and giving and that was evident in each and every moment of his life. He would give the shirt off his back to help a stranger in need. He was always willing to show his unconditional love through the strongest hug. A hug from Joe Molloy would heal the heart and fill you with comfort. To honor his memory, give your loved one a hug today
