Josephine Rose Depew of Newburgh entered into rest on December 10 at Elant at Fishkill. She was 94 years old. The daughter of the late Vincenzo and Caterina (Staiano) Ingarra, Josephine was born on June 25, 1919 in Brooklyn, NY. Josephine was a member of the ILGWU and was an active member of Club 60 of Newburgh. Josephine was both generous and hospitable and touched many, many lives. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her brother Joseph Ingarra and his wife Emma of West Babylon, NY and her sister Anne Neglia of East Meadow, NY; her granddaughter: Stephanie Jetter of Newburgh; her nieces and nephews: Patricia Soto and husband Mel of Brentwood, NY, Susan Cavanagh of West Babylon, NY, Theresa Dennis and husband Tim of Lyndhurst, NY, Joseph Neglia of East Meadow, NY, Vincent Neglia and wife Diane of Bethpage, NY, Leonard Neglia and wife Jeanette of Farmingdale, NY; as well as many great-nieces and nephews and extended family. In addition to her parents, Josephine was predeceased by her husband, Ralph Depew and her daughter Maria Jetter. Memorial visitation will be held from 2 to 4 pm on Saturday, December 21 at Brooks Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:30 pm, during visitation. Burial will be held privately by the family.
