Josephine F. Yonnone

Josephine F. Yonnone, 93, passed away on February 3, 2026. She was born on March 19, 1932, and was the daughter of the late Carmine Yonnone and Filomena (Cimorelli) Yonnone.

Josephine dedicated many years of her life to her work. She was employed at the House of Westmore in Newburgh, New York, and later continued her career at Syntex Manufacturing, also in Newburgh. She was known for her strong work ethic, skilled hands, and reliability. Those who worked with her remember her as someone who took pride in what she did and showed up for her job every day.

Josephine was lovingly cared for by her nephew, Carl Piperato and his wife Nina, and her great-niece, Ashley Romano. She is survived by her nephews and nieces: Joseph Yonnone (Janine); Samuel Yonnone (Gloria); Marty Yononne (Susan); Alan Giancola; Carl Piperato (Nina); Michael Melfe (Marietta); Richard Melfe (Beth); Donnie Melfe; Yolanda Pennimpede (Philip); Deborah Vahlensieck (Lee); Carmine Yonnone; Patricia Lee Pomarico (Thomas); and Anthony Yonnone; along with many great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.

In addition to her parents, Josephine was predeceased by her brothers: Nicolo, Carmelo, Samuel, Anthony, Salvatore, and Carmine Yonnone; and her sisters: Gilda Yonnone, Yolanda Melfe, Rose Piperato, and Lucy Yonnone.

Josephine will be remembered for her strength, dedication to her work, and the love she shared with her family.
