Juan Carlos Acevedo was a devoted son, brother, and father of three whose life was defined by his unwavering commitment to family and community. 

As a proud United States Marine, Juan served his country with honor, and after his service, he continued to give back by working at the United States Postal Service for over a decade. 

He was the kind of person who always showed up—for his loved ones, his coworkers, and anyone who needed him. Juan’s greatest joy was his family, and he built a life centered on presence, support, and unconditional love. 

Those who knew him will remember his steady kindness, his sense of duty, and the way he made everyone around him feel safe and valued. Above all, Juan was very funny and loved to make people laugh—his humor brought light to every room and comfort to those around him. 

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 11th from 4:00pm-7:00pm at Brooks Funeral Home located at 481 Gidney Avenue, Newburgh, NY.

A second visitation will be held at Brooks Funeral Home from 10:00am-12:30pm with a funeral service beginning at 12:30 on Wednesday, August 12th, located at 481 Gidney Avenue, Newburgh, NY.

A burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery located at 304 Walsh Ave, New Windsor, NY.
