It is with heavy and solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Juvencio
"Joe" Navedo Jr., on April 15, 2025 at St. Luke's Hospital in Newburgh, NY.
Joe was born on December 10, 1949 in Santurce, Puerto Rico to Juvencio
Navedo Sr. and Ramona Guavarez.
Joe was many things to many people, an avid sports memorabilia
collector, a carpenter, fisherman, hunter, and outdoorsman but to his family
he was the fabric that held them together. His passion was great that if you
give Joe a hammer he will build a mansion.
Joe worked for Cabrini Hospital for 15 years, and John Jay College for 20
years. Joe retired in 2007 from mechanical engineering.
Joe leaves behind his soulmate and wife of 53 years. His 4 daughters are
Sabrina Navedo Bronx, NY, Chevon Navedo, Port Jervis, NY, Jenine
Navedo, New Windsor, NY, and Kajohna Cornish-Spotards of Wilkes-Barre,
PA. Joe's grandchildren. Steffan Navedo- Perez. Bronx. NY. Aavonne Davis
Monroe. NY Serenity Palmer, New Windsor, NY. Joe leaves behind a sister
Margarita Navedo Dunkirk, NY and nieces and nephew Nicky and his
spouse Tyler, Marilyn, Elizabeth, Janese, and Geo.
Joe was predeceased by both parents, mother in law Albertha Johnson and
sister in law Lorraine Johnson. Brother Luis Maldonado.
Joe leaves behind
a slew of family. Friends, coworkers, and a host of cousins.
Joe was an amazing husband, father, and grandfather,
he will always be
loved and greatly missed.
A visitation will be held at Brooks Funeral Home on Monday April 28th from 4:00-7:00pm with a service being held at 6:30pm.
