Katherine S. Dunleavy

April 21, 1945 ~ February 16, 2025

Katherine "Kitty" Dunleavy, age 79 of Highland Mills NY, entered into rest on Sunday, February 16, 2025.

She was born on April 21, 1945 to Edward and Margaret (Peggy) Smith, the oldest of four children.

Kitty is survived by her four daughters, Kim Consorti (Joseph Consorti), Debbie Barbera (Brian Barbera), Sarah (Sass) Avon, and Casey Corcoran (Bob). She would get us all confused so we all answer to "Grace".  She also had 7 grandchildren, Joseph Consorti Jr. (Erica), Sydney Barbera, Paige Barbera, Chloe Barbera, Ryan (Ry Ry) Corcoran, Cameron (Cami) Avon, and Raegan Corcoran; and 1 great grandchild Frankee Rose Consorti.  She is also survived by her cherished sister-in- law Vicky Smith whom she adored, as well as so many cousins, nieces and great lifelong friends.  We all loved her dearly and will miss her greatly.

She is predeceased by her husband of 38 years, Christopher Dunleavy; her mother and father Peggy and Edward Smith; her brothers Joe and Eddie and her sister Donna; as well as her beloved Aunt Mary and Uncle Lenny Weyant.  Her much-loved brother Eddie passed away only a month prior to her departure, and we are at peace knowing that they are together in a better place.

Cremation will take place privately and a celebration of life will be held at a later date for family and friends to gather and celebrate her life and memories.
