Kathleen Cetta
November 24, 1942 ~ March 22, 2025
Kathleen "Kathy" Teresa Cetta, 82, crossed over on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Middletown Park Rehabilitation and Healthcare.
Mrs. Cetta was born November 24, 1942, to Elizabeth Quinn and Bartholomew Crowley of Brooklyn, NY. She married Pasquale A. Cetta on May 25, 1969, in New York, NY. They resided in New York City prior to moving to Pine Bush, NY.
Kathy Cetta "Sister Kathy" joined Penuel Pentecostal Tabernacle in 1994 where she was baptized in Jesus' name and filled with the Holy Ghost. Kathleen "Kathy" Cetta was a faithful and dedicated woman of God who loved the Lord, her church (Penuel Pentecostal Tabernacle), and her community. She was a praying woman who delighted herself in God's Word. She never missed a Service. Kathy made everyone feel welcomed in her presence. She was well known for being loving, kind, nurturing, straightforward, generous, humorous, smart, and strong. She truly had a giving heart. She gave cheerfully until she could give no more.
Kathy spent the early years of her career in the restaurant industry. She often spoke of the five-star restaurant, Sparks Steak House, which was established in 1966 by her late husband whom she adored, Pasquale (Pat), and his brother, Michael (deceased). Kathy brought the cooking, cleaning and organization qualities that she learned from her time in the restaurant industry to Penuel and would often share helpful hints and techniques. She was zealous about taking care of the House of God.
Kathy was an avid shopper who enjoyed collecting elegant scarves, unique knick knacks, distinct stuffed animals, dolls, and antiques. She had an impeccable eye for "good" quality. She developed lasting relationships with many store owners and associates. Kathy was a very special woman who was a blessing to all that knew her. She was a true Servant of the Lord and will be greatly missed by all.
Kathleen is predeceased by her husband Pasquale (Pat), parents, and brother-in-law Michael.
A memorial service will be held at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave. Newburgh NY,
April 26, 2025, at 11:00am.
Kathy will be laid to rest with her husband at Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla NY at a later date.
