Kathleen C. O'Rourke, 92, of Newburgh passed away peacefully on October 13, 2024 at her home. Kathleen was born to Sidney and Beatrice Ferguson on November 28, 1931 in Newburgh.
On June 4 1955 she married Bernard O'Rourke at St Patrick's Church in Newburgh.
She worked as a Registered Nurse at St Luke's and Cornwall hospitals and other medical offices. She retired from Mt St Josephs where she worked in the infirmary for the sisters for many years.
She will be missed tremendously by her husband of almost 70 years, Bernard O'Rourke; her children, Michael O'Rourke (Devin) and Kathleen Ossenfort; her sister, Patricia McCullough; her grand children: Kara (Alan), Jeffrey (Nishelle), Jennifer (Andy), Ellie, Declan, Nicole (Angelo), Katie (Daniel), Timothy, and Rebekah; her great grandchildren: Angelina, Carolina, James, Noah, Ezra, Hunter, Oriana, and Mara (due in February); her niece, Stephanie; and many more nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her eldest son, Bernard O'Rourke jr.
