Landon M. Smith

We are sad to announce the passing of Landon Morrell Smith of Newburgh. Landon passed away on February 18, 2024 at Westchester Medical Center, surrounded by his loved ones, after a long health battle. He was 37.

Landon enjoyed singing and playing video games, but most of all he loved being surrounded by his family.

He is survived by his mother, Linda Stephens; brother, Louis Smith, Jr.; and his niece Liyanna Smith; several aunts: Patty Hunter, Sophia Hunter, Diane Underwood, Stephanie Thompson, Adeline Haynes, Fanny Washington, Betty Burkes, and Carol Smith; uncles: Willie Hunter, Jr., Barry Smith, and Norman Smith; and several cousins, relatives, and friends. He is predeceased by his father, Louis D. Smith, Sr.

Most referred to him as "Bam." His infectious smile and humor will be missed. Rest in love.

Visitation will be held at Ebenezer Baptist Church on Friday, March 1 from 10 - 11 AM. There will be an 11 AM funeral service, followed by burial at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
