Leilani Alii McDonough, 48 of Wallkill, NY passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, surrounded by her family. Lani was born in Alexandria, VA on August 2nd, 1973. Lani worked as a CareMount Medical professional, where she was a fulltime healthcare worker and a parttime comedian to all her patients and co-workers. Lani was passionate about taking care of others when they needed it and was loved by those she cared for. Lani had a love of the beach, horses, dolphins, turtles, country music and line dancing. She was also a great prankster to her friends and family. Her focus and the loves of her life were, daughter, Jamie (deceased), her grandchildren Channing and Cyrus. She will be missed by so many.
Lani leaves behind her two beloved grandchildren, Channing and Cyrus Davis, her mother Brenda S McKillop, her father James T McKillop and Stepmother Ann Hardiman, her two sisters Amber McKillop and Marlo McKillop, her niece Lily Ann Bell. In addition, she is survived by her aunts, Lisa Benjamin, Carol Gray, Bobbette Cousins, Joyce Fugazzi and Rose Chandless, her step-grandmother Joanie Brubaker, her significant other, Nate Hedges and his children, and many other family and friends, too numerous to list.
Lani will now join her daughter Jamie McDonough, granddaughter Cianni Davis, grandmother Beverly (Boots) Dick, grandfather Clifton (CW) Dick and other family members in eternity.
Memorial visitation will be on Monday, June 6 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh, NY. Mass will take place Tuesday, June 7 at Our Lady of Fatima, Plattekill, NY, at 11 a.m. Donations to the cancer charity of your choice in Lani's memory will be appreciated.
