In loving memory of Leonardo E. Cruz.

It is in profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Leonardo Cruz who reside in Wallkill NY. On June 27th 2024, Leonardo passed away at Morgan Stanley's Children's hospital. Leonardo left us far too soon at a young age of 7.

Leonardo E. Cruz was born on May 8th 2017 in New York City. Leonardo was a cherished son of Elvis Cruz and Jennifer Marin and a beloved brother to Aurora Cruz. His family meant everything to him and brought endless love and laughter into their home. Leonardo is survived by grandparents Bartolo Cruz, Aquilina Acevedo, Hector Marin and Georgina Mejia. Sister Aurora Cruz. Aunts and uncles, Anaiz Cruz, Jeanette Cruz, Leslie Cruz, Selena Johnson, Anthony Cruz, Lizbeth Marin, Hector Marin Jr, and Roy Marin.

Leonardo brought immense joy and happiness into our lives in his brief time with us. Leonardo was a bright and energetic soul. Known for his laughter and quirks. He loved his iPad and loved his time at school. Though his time with us was short Leonardo leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength and inspiration that will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A celebration of Leonardo's life will be held on July 1st 2024 at Brooks Funeral home between 4-7 pm. Catholic Mass will be held on July 2nd 2024 at Our Lady of Fatima at 11am. Followed by the burial at Cedar Hill Cemetery.  We invite all who love and knew Leonardo to join us in honoring his memory.

Forever in our hearts , Leonardo will be dearly missed and never forgotten.

Rest In Peace dear Leonardo E. Cruz you have touched our lives in ways words cannot express.

We extend our deepest gratitude to the dedicated hospital staff who cared for our fighter Leo during his time with us. Your unwavering commitment, compassion and expertise provided comfort and support not only to Leo but also to our entire family during this challenging time.

And thank you from the bottom of our hearts to our family and friends for being there for us and for honoring the memory of Leonardo in such a meaningful way. Your support has reminded us that we are surrounded by love and kindness during this challenging journey.
