Leslie Rotelli

December 22, 1973 ~ September 16, 2026

Leslie Allison Rotelli (Lutz) passed away after a long and valiant battle with breast cancer, surrounded by lifelong friends, cherished family members, and her devoted pup. Her final days were filled with loving visits from the many people whose lives were more interesting, and more fun, for having known her. 

Leslie was a connoisseur of life. Her love of fine food, high fashion, great art, and the culture, theater, and museums of New York City led to many epic days and amazing memories for those lucky enough to share them with her, including her beloved and much-missed mother, Sandy, with whom she shared a rare and fierce closeness; her husband, John, with whom she shared sharp banter, inside jokes, and deep love until his recent passing; and her stepdaughter, Mary, who grew up to become a favorite friend as well as an adored daughter. 

Leslie fought cancer for nearly 13 years and never stopped living her life with gusto, resilience, and positivity. She was a true, brash New Yorker with a gift for turning small talk into lengthy conversations and strangers into friends. She connected with people everywhere she went and was a unique force of generosity, laughter, and love. She will be greatly missed. 

In addition to Mary Rotelli, she is survived by her brother, Jeffrey Lutz, and her nephews, Logan and Mason. 

A celebration of life will be held at a later date, with details to follow.
