Obituary

Lillie Martin passed away at home in Newburgh, NY peacefully, surrounded by her loving family.
Lillie Mae Martin born July 7, 1951 in Clayton, Alabama to the late Wesley and Essie Mae Martin. Lillie departed this life on September 29, 2023.
Lillie was employed by Letchworth Village Developmental Center as a developmental aide. The job entailed caregiving, which prepared her for the caregiving she would later be giving to her mom and dad in their senior years.
Lillie was a member of Grant Memorial-House of Joy Church in Newburgh, NY. She had a wonderful spirit of generosity that would prove to be her trademark. She was always looking for an opportunity to give. Lillie's loving and giving will always be remembered by every life she touched.
Lillie leaves to cherish her memories three children: Tynique Walker, Anton Walker, and Hillary Walker; seven grandchildren: Lamar, Devon, Antoinette, Lauren, Raven, Elijah, Nasih; seven great-grandchildren: Kimor, Najayah, Paige, Jace, Taylor, Demitri, and Renzo; her siblings: Janice Dubose (John), Martha Martin, Nichelle Martin, Petchula Martin (Wayne Dodson), Michael Martin (Genethia), and Homer Jackson; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family, and friends; and special friends: Mother Mary Legette, Gladys Tart, Etta Peart, Elsie Simeon, Susan Simpson, Velma Green, Deborah Jackson, and Prophetess Rita Johnson. Lillie was predeceased by her parents, and her siblings Annie Spearman and James Martin.
