Loretta Freitas, 84 of Newburgh, NY, passed away on June 1st, 2023, at St. Luke's Hospital from heart complications.
Loretta was born on April 15th, 1939 in Brooklyn, NY. She married John Freitas and had six children: Barry, Jonathan, Daniel, Lillian, Loretta, and Brian. She worked for the Newburgh School District for 20 plus years and loved it. Loretta truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with family and friends, bingo, and going on senior trips. Loretta was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother to her family and will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 6 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 7 at Our Lady of the Lake Parish, Newburgh, with burial following in Wallkill Valley Cemetery, Walden.
