Lorraine E. Tourville, of Cornwall, a lifelong resident of the area, entered into rest on October 30, 2013 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was 68. The daughter of the late Salvatore and Lorretta (Heil) Gallietta, she was born on February 11, 1945 in Newburgh, NY. Lorraine was married to Dr. Leslie M. Tourville, who predeceased her. Lorraine was retired from the Newburgh Enlarged City School District after 31 years of service as a School Lunch Manager, and also served as past president of the Orange County School Food Service Association. "Mom's kindness and generosity knew no bounds, having touched many hearts. She was a loving mother, mother-in-law, proud grandmother and aunt. She was an all around cool and classy lady and she will be forever missed." The family would like to thank Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties for their compassionate care, and the medical staff at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital for the their years of kindness, care, and concern towards Mom. A special thank you to Dr. Umangi Patel and the doctors at Mid Valley Oncology and Hematology for their tireless efforts and dedication to Mom's care. Survivors include her daughter Lynda M. Bera and her husband Glenn, Sr., her son Philip A. Masciola, Jr. and his wife Jana; her brother John S. Gallieta and his wife Karen; her grandchildren: Kevin M. Babcock, Jr., Brianna, Bryan, and Christopher Masciola, Glenn, Jr., and Adler Bera; several nieces and nephews; and her sister-in-heart Julia Henderson. In addition to her parents and husband, Lorraine was predeceased by her sister, Barbara Jean Newkirk, and two grandchildren, Hollie and Marrissa Masciola. Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 pm on Sunday, November 3 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 am on Monday, November 4 at St. Mary's Church, Newburgh. A committal service will follow in the Chapel at Cedar Hill Mausoleum, Newburgh. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Lorraine's name to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550; or The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 1311 Mamaroneck Ave, #310, White Plains, NY 10605.
