Luis Arnaldo Ortiz, 24 years old, died in Vista, California on August 22, 2021. He was born on December 30, 1996 in Newburgh, NY to Ledis Ortiz and Antonio Berrios. He married Destiny Diciccio-Ortiz on January 28th 2017 in Rio Rancho, NM.
Luis graduated from Wallkill High School in 2016. He then went on to join the United States Marine Corps. where he was recognized as an outstanding Marine. Luis had a love for basketball and his huge collections of sneakers.
In addition to his wife Destiny, Luis leaves behind his mother, Ledis Ortiz; his children: Ayden Ortiz and Nathaniel Ortiz; siblings: Tatyanna Ortiz-Gonzalez and Sophia Ortiz; Godmother Delia Fuentes; Aunts: Tina Ortiz, Erica Ortiz, Priscilla Ortiz; Uncles: Juan Ortiz, Orlando Ortiz, Osmar Ortiz, Aldo Ortiz; and Grandparents: Miriam Ortiz and Orlando Ortiz .

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 8th from 6-7:30 p.m. at Brooks Funeral Home in Newburgh, NY, with Military Honors at 7:30 p.m.

Luis was loved by so many and had a big family full of love. Thank you for all the love and support, and forever live through all the amazing memories Luis left us all with.
