Sister Margaret Muller, PBVM
1933--2023

Sr. Margaret Muller, of the Sisters of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary,
entered eternal life on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Cabrini Nursing Home, Dobbs
Ferry, NY. She was 90 years old.
Sr. Margaret Muller was born on July 19, 1933 in Bronx, NY and joined the Sisters
of the Presentation on September 8, 1951. Sister Margaret's name in religion was
Sr. Mary Barnabas. She professed first vows on April 22, 1954 and final vows on
April 27, 1957. She graduated from St. Michael's Academy NY in 1951. She
earned a BS degree in Education from Fordham University in 1961, a MS degree in
Religious Education in 1972 and MPM degree in 1982 from Seattle University.
Her ministries include teaching at St. Michael's Elementary in Manhattan, NY; Holy
Rosary, Bronx, NY; St. Andrew, Clifton, NJ; Religious Education at Our Lady of
Fatima, Highland Lakes. Sister worked in young adults' ministry in four parishes in
New Jersey, diocese of Metuchen, and in Adult Education in St. Elizabeth Ann
Seton. She was a Pastoral Assistant/Associate in several parishes in New Jersey.
During her years in retirement she worked as the Archivist for the congregation.
In addition to her family at the Sisters of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin
Mary, Sr. Margaret is survived by her sister Eileen Game and several nieces,
nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Sr. Margaret was predeceased by her parents, Peter Muller and Agnes Smith.
Visitation will be held October 23, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. at Mount St. Joseph Chapel,
64 Presentation Way, New Windsor, NY. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at
11:00 a.m. at Mount St. Joseph. Burial will follow in Mount St. Joseph Cemetery,
New Windsor, NY.
