Mariano Russo

Mariano Russo of Marlboro, NY entered into peaceful rest on Sunday March 16th, 2025. Mariano was born on March 17th, 1946 in Giuliana, Sicily. He is the son of the late Giuseppe and Maria Russo.

Mariano owned Youngest Brother's Italian Restaurant, in Newburgh NY along with his brother-in-law Phil DiLeonardo for 40 years. He was very well liked by all his patrons, and friends who came to Youngest Brother's.

Mariano loved horse racing, gardening, working at the restaurant, loved to be outside in the sun, and being with his family.

Mariano married Franca Russo on September 25, 1971. She predeceased him on December 30, 2018. He is survived by his only son, Giuseppe and daughter-in-law Amy Russo, of Marlboro, NY; his only granddaughter, whom he loved dearly, Mia Russo of Marlboro, NY; his sister, Gina DiLeonardo and her husband Phil of Marlboro, NY; his brother, Franco Russo of Marlboro, NY; his brother Giacomo Russo and wife Nina of Giuliana, Sicily; his niece, Mariella Dileonardo of Marlboro, NY; his nephew, Vincent DiLeonardo and his wife Gina of Marlboro; and many other nieces and nephews here in the USA and in Sicily who loved him very much.

He is predeceased by his wife, Franca; parents, Giuseppe and Maria; and his brother, Paolo Russo.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday March 19th from 4:00 pm- 7:00 pm at Brooks Funeral Home , 481 Gidney Ave Newburgh, NY

A Mass of Catholic burial will be offered on Thursday March 20th 10:30 am at St. Mary's Church 1209 Route 9W Marlboro, NY

Entombment will follow in Cedar Hill Mausoleum, Newburgh, NY
