Marion Serviss Sheflin, 96 years young passed away peacefully in her home with her family present.
Marion was born in Newburgh on July 6, 1938 to John D. Serviss and Margaret Brown Serviss. She had three brothers: James W. Serviss, Harry C. Serviss, and Gordon K. Serviss. She married Richard E. Sheflin in Newburgh on September 7 of 1963. Marion was faithful and devoted to her husband and provided a loving and stable home for their children while her husband served in and retired from the United States Navy and New York State Corrections.
Marion loved planting and growing flowers along with her vegetable garden. She enjoyed canning the vegetables that she grew in her garden. She also enjoyed cooking and baking for her family.
Marion is survived by her daughter, Gayle (Johnny) Johnston of Leesburg, GA; son, John (Gabi) Sheflin of New Windsor, NY; daughter, Margaret Sheflin of Newburgh, NY; daughter, Marianne Sheflin Aurigemma of New Windsor, NY; grandchildren, Lee Johnston III of Leesburg, GA; Natalie (Clayton) Bryant of Bullard, TX; Jennifer (Barry) Saarinen of Leesburg, GA; Michael Lease actively serving in the United States Air Force; great grandchildren, Alyssa Bryant of Bullard, TX; Lauren Bryant of Bullard, TX; Aiden Saarinen of Leesburg, GA; and number one Cousin, Robert (Bobby) F. Perrego; and several nieces and nephews.
A special thank you for care givers, Linda and Phobie; hospices nurses, Diane and Sandy; andBill and Liz, for being wonderful neighbors.
She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Sheflin, as well as her parents and her brothers.

Visitation will be held at Brooks Funeral Home on Friday, December 27 from 10 - 11 AM with a prayer service taking place at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
