Marva P. Woods

February 14, 1937 ~ February 23, 2025

Marva (Markie) Woods passed away peacefully on February 23, 2025 at the age of 88 in the Town of Wallkill, NY. She was born in Suffern, NY to the late Blanche (Peterson) and Wayne Powell Sr. Marva was predeceased by her daughter Dr. Marva Jeanne Scroggins.

After many years working in the pharmaceutical industry at Ciba-Geigy and Boehringer- Ingelheim, Marva retired and devoted her time to real estate, interior design, and enjoying her grandchildren.

Marva is survived by her daughter, Beverly Sharon Woods (Nicholas Coto). She will be dearly missed by grandchildren Jared Scroggins of St. Louis, Andrea (Eric) Ferguson of Newburgh, Jillian Scroggins of St. Louis, Zachary Coto of Boston as well as great grandchildren Arrow, Emilia, Sienna, and River, and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.

At Marva's request, there will be no funeral service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that when the opportunity arises, do something kind for someone.
