Mary Lou Frances Lampack, 84 years old of Newburgh, NY peacefully passed away on January 16, 2025 in Middletown, NY. Mary Lou was born June 6, 1940 in Long Island, NY to Jack and Lynn Cornwell. Mary Lou had three younger brothers, John, Louis, and Victor. While attending SUNY New Paltz, obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Education, Mary Lou married William G. Reilly and later in life her second husband, Robert L. Lampack. Mary Lou started her career as a schoolteacher in the Newburgh City School District in the early 60's, and took time off to raise a family before eventually coming back and educating hundreds, if not thousands of first graders for 30 years. Most of that time at Gidney Ave. Memorial School.

Mary Lou loved to enrich young minds as well as her own. She was an avid artist and loved using watercolor the most. She read books of all subjects and especially loved reading mysteries. Her greatest love was her garden, she could tell you facts about every plant, of which there were many. She would spend hours caring for, and sometimes talking to, her garden. Mary Lou was a Catholic and attended St. Mary's and St. Francis parish.

Mary Lou is survived by her children, Brannock Reilly, Kristin Reilly, and Brendan Reilly; her brothers, Louis and Victor; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Her husbands William G. Reilly and Robert L. Lampack predeceased Mary Lou, as well as her brother John Cornwell.

The family will be holding a memorial service in the spring, which was her favorite season. At which time her ashes are to be interred at Cedar Hill Cemetery. For inquiries, please email reillyblr@gmail.com
