Mary Ann Cronin Fernandez age 78 was an active member of the Newburgh community, having moved here some 40 years ago with her late husband, Charles and their infant son. For many years, she worked for IBM, but later joined the staff of local dentist, Dr. Lustbader, until her retirement. But if you knew Mary Ann, she couldn't stay retired. She went to work for LBM Advantage as a temp. She was a valued member of the Red Hat Society and the Newburgh Food Pantry, she also volunteered with Habitat for Humanity - where she loved to show off her old paint stained clothes and show that she wasn't afraid to get dirty and work. She was also a regular congregant at St. Patrick's Church. Mary Ann was loved by many and is survived by her son, Brian and his girlfriend Walquiria, who were by her side when she passed.
Visitation will be held at Brooks Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 27 from 4 - 7 PM. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Church on Thursday, December 28 at 10 AM.
