Mary Frances Weygant, known to those close to her as Fran, of Newburgh, NY, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at the age of 87.
Fran was born August 20, 1935 in Haverstraw, NY to Frances Loretta Munderville and Oscar Joseph Ruud. She grew up there with her siblings, Joseph, Thomas, Evelyn, William, Patricia, and Edward.
Fran later moved to Newburgh where she met her husband to be, Andrew (Gumpy) Weygant. She is survived by her daughter, Jeanne Marie Farrell, her son Lawrence Weygant, and her bonus daughter Penny Salinovich, but is once again united in heaven with her children, Thomas (T.J.) Weygant, Foxy Ruud, Michael Weygant, Andrew Weygant, and LuLu Mae Stewart.
Fran was a beloved grandmother to Christopher, Craig, Andrew Jr., Joseph, Nicholas, Michelle, Melissa, and Heaven. She was even blessed with many great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews, and was lovingly called "Aunt Fran" by all.
We will remember Fran for her loving nature, cunning wit, and always being the waiting port through all of our storms. She never turned away a soul in need and would help anyone she could as only she know how.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 10, 2023 from 2PM to 5PM at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh.
