Matthew "Matt" Joseph Scopteuolo, 86, of Washingtonville, New York, passed away peacefully at his home on November 3, 2025.

Matt was predeceased by his beloved wife, Alexandra ("Sandi"), and his parents, Pasquale and Maria Scopteuolo, as well as his brothers, Domenic and Tony. He is survived by his loving daughters and their spouses, Amanda (Vince) and Robyn (Alexander), and his cherished grandchildren — Matthew Coyle, Madisyn Scopteuolo-Camus, Michael Coyle, Noah Scopteuolo-Rosen, and Leah Scopteuolo-Rosen. He is also survived by his devoted sisters, Rose Turner and Mary Henry.

Through much blood, sweat, and tears, Matt built his construction company, Alexandra Development, from the ground up. After his family, his company was his life, and he took immense pride in the business he created. For the past twenty-six years, he had the privilege of working alongside his daughter, Robyn, which brought him great joy and fulfillment.

Outside of work, Matt loved spending time with his family and close friends. He found peace and happiness in the woods, where he could truly unwind and enjoy nature. Matt also enjoyed taking vacations with family, and we will forever treasure the stories and laughs shared over glasses of wine.

Whether it was his career, his family, or his friendships, Matt threw himself wholeheartedly into everything he did and was a role model to so many around him. Though he was often a man of few words, those who knew him understood that his words carried deep meaning, sincerity, and love.

We take comfort in knowing that he is now reunited with his beloved Sandi, and that their love continues on.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025 from 4-7pm at Brooks Funeral Home located at 481 Gidney Avenue, Newburgh, NY 12550. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 10am at St. Mary's Catholic Church located at 42 Goshen Avenue, Washingtonville, NY 10992.
