Michael Foster, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2026, in Newburgh, New York, at the age of 84. He was born on December 28, 1941, in Cornwall, New York, the son of George and Joan (Pecheux) Foster. Michael was married on August 11, 1963, to Dorothy Balfe.

Michael was a retired City of Newburgh employee. He was a plant operator at the Water Filtration Plant for many years.

Michael was predeceased by his parents George and Joan Foster, his sister, Karen Glemming, and his beloved wife, Dorothy Foster. He is survived by his children: Jeffrey Foster and his wife Shirley, Mark Foster and his wife Karen. He also leaves behind his grandchildren: Steven Foster, Kaylee Foster, Cody Foster, Matthew Bush, Joseph Foster. Michael had one great grandchild, Lilith Ryan-Bush.

Although Michael was a private man, he had great love for his family and close friends. His memory will be cherished by those who knew him.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Brooks Funeral Home beginning at 11am. A Funeral Home Service will begin at 12:30pm with burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
