Michael S "Mike" Maiorano of Newburgh , entered into eternal rest at Orange Region Medical Center surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, November 15. He was 60. The son of the late Michael B and Rose T. (Mastromarino) Maiorano, Mike was born June 20, 1952 in Nyack, NY. He was a resident of the area for 23 years. Mike was married to Nancy Pfeil in 1975 in New City, NY. Mike attended Nyack High School. He worked for New York State as an investigator. Mike could fix anything and despite being very disabled you could always find him in the driveway giving his kids advice on fixing their cars, right down to which wrench to use. If he was not in the driveway, he could be found on the phone with friends explaining to them how to go about fixing their problems whether it was with their cars, plumbing, or electrical systems. Being helpful to others was a source of happiness to Mike. Mike also had a special place in his heart for his service dogs: Czar and Rina, and his german shepherd pets, Arko, Sasha, and Anya. Mike is survived by his Wife Nancy at home; Daughters, Amanda Jimenez in Okinowa and Elizabeth of Preston Hollow, NY; Sons, Michael D., Nicholas W., and Anthony C. Maiorano all of Newburgh; his Sister Rosemary Hamblin of Tampa FL. Services for Mike will be private.
