Nancy Alfredo DePippo, 98, passed away peacefully in Newburgh, New York, surrounded by her loving family on April 9, 2026.

Born in Mount Vernon, New York, Nancy graduated from A.B. Davis High School and went on to further her education at Berkeley Business School in New York City.

Nancy married in 1948 to the love of her life, the late Alphonse J. DePippo. Together they raised six daughters: Mary (David) Pennington; the late Margaret (Robert) Oppenheimer; Joanne (Charles) North; the late Nancy Ellen (Charles) Closter; Elvira (David) Heinzinger; and Barbara (Michael) Piliero.

Nancy and her husband went on to establish their own business, A.J. DePippo, Builder/Home Improvement Specialist. She was known for her dedication, strong organizational abilities, and unwavering work ethic, playing an integral role in the growth and success of the business.

Nancy especially cherished the time she spent golfing with her husband, a pastime that brought them both enjoyment and many lasting memories. She also found great satisfaction in tending her garden and took particular pleasure in celebrating the changing seasons, decorating her home and marking holidays with thoughtful traditions.

A devoted matriarch, Nancy was the proud grandmother of sixteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by one beloved grandson and is also lovingly remembered by her many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

She resided for many years in Westchester County, New York, and later in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, before returning to New York to enjoy her final years surrounded by her children.

Nancy is survived by her sister, Rose Carille and sister in law, Dolores Alfredo. She was predeceased by her brother and sister in law, Joseph and Joanne Alfredo, her brother, Frank Alfredo, and brother in law, Frank Carille.

Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at St.Mary’s Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill, NY.

Private inurnment services will be at a later date.
