Nancy N. Valdina

Nancy N. Franke Valdina, 89, of the Town of Newburgh, New York, passed away peacefully at home on September 3, 2025.

Born on July 29, 1936, in Newburgh, Nancy was the daughter of the late Henry and Rose Franke. She graduated from Newburgh Free Academy in 1955 and married Frank J. Valdina, Jr., on Easter Sunday, April 1, 1956, at Sacred Heart Church.

Nancy retired in 1996 after two decades with Valley Linen, where she also served as a union representative. She was a life member of the Good Will Ladies Auxiliary, a member of the Town of Newburgh's Golden Age Club, and a past treasurer of the New York State Jayncees.

She is survived by her daughter Rosemarie S. Wright; her son Frank J. Valdina III and his partner Joan Nissen; and grandchildren Craig M. Marti Jr. (fiancée Rebecca Hasenflue), Kayla Knox (husband Matthew), Krysta Olivero (husband Christopher), Cara Marti (fiancé Cole Cabibba), and Christian Marti. Nancy was also blessed with great-grandchildren Jaspher and Faye Olivero and Theodore and Julia Knox.

She was predeceased by her daughter Natalina A. Marti and son-in-law Craig M. Marti; granddaughter Carley Marti; and daughter-in-law Patricia Valdina.

Also surviving are her brother Henry F. Franke; nephew Michael Franke; cousin Susan McDonald; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her former husband Frank J. Valdina, Jr.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 9th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Avenue, Newburgh, NY 12550.

A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 10th at 11:00 a.m., followed by burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, 93 Union Avenue, New Windsor, NY 12553.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital .
