Nicholas (Nico) Christian Gambino-Vasile entered into rest suddenly and entirely too soon on August 20, 2015. Born on June 8, 1995 in Middletown, NY he was the son of Jane Michaele Gambino. He is survived by his mother, Jane Gambino, his father, Michael Vasile, and his stepfather, Christopher Ernissee; his sister, Melody Rose Gambino; his grandmother, Dawn Gambino; his grandfather, Frank Gambino; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and countless beloved friends. He is predeceased by his brother and best friend, Jon Francis Gambino, who passed away last year. Nico had a zest for life and amazing way about him. He was always able to bring you up if you were down. He had a deep love for family and cherished his friends. He was active in sports and loved all things automotive. He frequently went to car shows. When his brother died, he made a promise to restore the car he loved. This was a promise he kept. He restored it to its original beauty and drove it proudly in the memory of his brother. Unfortunately, this was also the car in which he lost his life. Nico had just been working hard to become the man he wanted to be. He was working full time, had an amazing number of friends, he had even found a woman that he loved. His last weekend was spent at Woodstock. He went, not only to enjoy the festivities, but to help his friend's family with their food truck businesses. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. Nico did not suffer at the end. We, as his family and loved ones, are devastated beyond belief that we have lost our shining star. Our only solace in this time of grief is to know that he is now with his brother...they were best friends in life...and they will continue in the great beyond. Nico will be greatly missed but he was a beautiful man whose life deserves to be celebrated.
