Omari M. Edwards was born to Shavon Edwards and Divine Herring Allah on August 24, 1998 at St. Peters hospital in Albany, NY. Omari attended high school at Newburgh Free Academy where he graduated in the year of 2016. Omari was a devoted son and a loving sibling to his brother, Jyaire West. He was compassionate and loving to his family and friends. He was known for being a well-mannered, humble, and a respectful young man.
Omari was always destined for greatness. Omari's passion for music ran deep in his veins since a young boy. His dreams were to be an aspiring musical artist. He was a known lyricist who could put words and thoughts together at the drop of a dime. All his life he was known to move to the beat of his own drum.
Omari left his legacy to Shavon Edwards (mother), Divine Herring Allah (father), Jyaire West and Ja'zhyer Allah (brothers), Lynncie Maehal (sister), his lady Bianca Pierre, his grandparents, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. He also left behind Tyneisha Clark who played a big part in his life. Omari was pre deceased by his grandmothers Lizzie Walker and Deborah Herring.
The family of Omari wish to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to all for your many acts of kindness, comforting words, and prayers during this time of sorrow. May God bless each and every one of you.
Family and friends are invited to remember Omari from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. on Tuesday, March 23 at The Cathedral at the House, 131 Broadway, Newburgh, with a service at 12 p.m.
"I know I got my flaws, we all do cause nobody's perfect"- Omari.
