Paula Jones

Paula Jones was born on July 23, 1950, in Baltimore, Maryland to Harold and Lenora Mitchell.

Paula attended public schools in Nanuet, New York and graduated from Nanuet high school in 1968. After graduation, she attended one of the Nursing Schools in Baltimore, not completing the semester because she missed her family. Back in New York, she attended Rockland Community College and became a registered Dietitian.

October 22, 1970, she gave birth to her daughter April, and on July 24, 1976, she married Charles Robert Jones at her mother's house in Spring Valley, New York. August 4, 1977, she then gave birth to her Son Charles Robert Jones II. Paula worked several places during the years, she was a Health Aide at Letchworth Village in Thiells, New York. Then put her degree to use as a Dietitian at Robert Yeager Health Center in Pomona, New York and on weekends at a nursing home in Westchester County.

Paula retired from Home Aides of Rockland as a scheduling Supervisor to the aides in New City, NY. After retiring, Paula loved being actively involved in her church, as an Usher, and being a member of the Prayer Group. Being outside in her backyard tending to her garden was relaxing and a joy for Paula! She loved planting flowers and watching them grow. Paula loved to Paint, crochet, knit, journaling, reading her daily devotional, and Bible studies. Cooking and having Family and friends over for cook outs and holidays, especially Thanksgiving Dinner, which she prepared every year gave her pleasure. Paula Jones left us peacefully in her home in Newburgh, NY on January 29, 2022 at the age of 71.

Paula leaves to mourn, her daughter April Reynolds and Grandson Jaquan D Broadnax. Two Aunts: Marlene Thorner, and Erma Lee Smith, Her Sisters Pamela Winkle and Lenora Mitchell. Her Nieces Kimberlin M Winkle, Karen M Winkle-Gorsline, T'zshanna Mitchell, Marlena Mitchell and Amber Mitchell. Her Nephews Hamid Mitchell and Jerome Mitchell, great nieces Isis Barker, and Ikeya Barker. Great Nephews, Isaac Barker, Eysiah Barker, Maleek Mickell and Mense Shelembe.She also leaves behind Uncle's, Aunt's and a host of cousins and friends who truly loved her.

Predeceased by her Parents Harold and Lenora Mitchell, her grandparents: William and Dorothy Smith, Sister Dorothy Mitchell and her Son Charles Robert Jones II. Five Aunts: Mary, Helen, Dorothy, Otelia, and Geraldine. Six Uncles: William, Jr, Joe Louis, Reuben, James, Frank, Leroy

The family of Paula Jones wishes to acknowledge with deep appreciation and gratitude the many comforting expressions of love and kindness that was shown to us during the passing of our loved one. May God bless each of you in a very special and loving way. Although we will no longer see Paula, she will be in our hearts forever.

Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, April 23rd from 12 to 2 p.m. at Crossroads Assembly of God Church, 7 D"lfonso Road, Newburgh, NY 12550. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m.
