Paula Walter (née Ransom, Podgorski) beloved sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, died on March 9, 2023 peacefully at her home in Newburgh, New York. Paula was born on April28, 1946 in Liberty, New York.Paula was a rebellious free spirit and poet, who loved her family and pets unconditionally. Her brother Alfred Ransom and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and loved ones will remember with fondness her cherished wind chime collection, sweet tooth, and affection for Jelly Belly jelly beans. Paula loved swimming and baking; her desserts were famous at family gatherings and events. Her faith in the Lord unwavered to the very end. She is predeceased by her mother Helen Ransom, father George Ransom, and brother David Ransom. She will be missed.
Calling hours will be held at Brooks Funeral Home on Friday, March 17 from 4 - 6 PM. Interment to take place on Saturday, March 18 at 11:00 AM at Wallkill Valley Cemetery, Walden, NY.
