Peter Michael Booth Sr. AKA "Big Pete," lifelong resident of Newburgh, N.Y., lost his battle to cancer surrounded by his family on September 15th, 2019. He was born of the late William Booth Sr. and the late Grace Mollica Booth. He graduated Manhattan College and had a successful career as an accountant. His love for sports lead him to a lifelong dedication for umpiring baseball. He is survived by his beloved children, Peter M. Booth Jr, Michael P. Booth, Jaclyn L. Booth and Matthew P. Booth; his sister Judith Booth Laskin; his brother William Booth Jr. and wife Carol Booth. His beautiful grandchildren, Kelis, Nyla, Jayden and Kamryn. He is also survived by his longtime girlfriend, Geralyn Casey, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. "Big Pete" was full of life. He loved spending time with his children, going to fancy dinners with his sister and enjoying weekends with his brother. They spoke their own language that none of us will ever understand. He will forever be missed. This world will sadly be a quieter place without him. A memorial service will be held Friday, September 20th, from 6pm to 7pm at Brooks Funeral Home, followed by a celebration of his life.
