Phyllis "Diana" DiNapoli, 84 an incredible dedicated and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother entered into rest on November 29, 2023, at her home surrounded by love ones. The daughter of the late Thomas and Fannie (Perry)Turck she was born on March 22, 1939, in Kingston NY. A graduate of Kingston high school, she worked for the New York Telephone Company. She married the love of her life Manuel (Manny) DiNapoli on Oct. 4, 1959. Together they found Friendship, raised a wonderful family and built a beautiful marriage.
Diana was a wonderful homemaker and when her children were older went back to work again as a Telephone Operator at Castle Point Veterans Hospital were she received many awards for being an exemplary employee. Diana had a pure heart of gold and was extremely generous to all and love to give to her charities. She enjoyed many activities throughout the years such as; bowling, traveling, playing cards, going to the casino and one of her all time favorites was dancing with her husband. Above all, she loved and enjoyed spending time with her family. Her children and grandchildren were her everything and she took great pride at always being there for them. She was extremely happy and felt very blessed to become a great grandma. She was a fabulous cook and baker and especially known for her eggplant, lasagna, and her meatballs with sauce. She took great Joy cooking for her family and around the dinner table there was always interesting conversation, much laughter and memories forever made. She always went above and beyond to make every moment magical. She will be forever loved and missed.
Diana is survived by her beloved children Nicholas DiNapoli Sr and loving wife Patricia, Jeni DiNapoli Sylcox and loving husband Thomas all of Newburgh. Three cherished grandchildren Nicholas DiNapoli Jr., Joseph Sylcox and loving wife Christina and Thomas Sylcox and one cherish great granddaughter Giavanna Diana. She is also survived by her sister Dolores Aiello Gormley of Colorado, brother Nicholas Turck of Kingston, Paul Turck of Arizona, Cecilia Zammilio of Port Ewen and Ginger Losey of Colorado, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Manuel (Manny) DiNapoli; her son Joseph DiNapoli; her brother Vincent Turck; and her sisters Yolanda Lokey and Patricia Hendershot.
Visitation will be at Brooks Funeral Home on Sunday, Dec. 3 from 2-5 PM. Diana was a devout Catholic who had unwavering faith, and a Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Francis Church on Monday, Dec. 4 at 10 AM, followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery.
