Ralph Dixon, Jr.

Ralph Theodore Dixon Jr. (Sonny) was 85 years of age of Newburgh, New York. He passed away on 27 September 2023 at his family home in Newburgh, New York.
Ralph was born on 21 February 1938 in Goshen, New York to Ethel King and Ralph T. Dixon Sr. He worked for North American Van Lines and Arnoff Moving and Storage Company until he retired. Some of his awards included safe driver of the year for 50 years along with outstanding dedication for service to the company. He had his own tractor with his name on the driver's side of the truck.
Ralph enjoyed watching Westerns, frequenting the racetrack, hunting, boating, and fishing. Ralph selflessly volunteered for the Army during the draft as the Vietnam war was occurring and attended basic training.
Ralph is survived by his children, Ralph T. Dixon III, Roberta J. Dixon, Robert J. Dixon, and Rochelle D. Dixon. Ralph leaves behind 14 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
Ralph is predeceased by his parents Ethel King and Ralph T. Dixon Sr., his sister, Dorothy Dixon, daughter Rose M. Dixon and wife Vera Dixon.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 10th from 11 AM - 12 PM, with a funeral service from 12 - 1 PM at Brooks Funeral Home 481 Gidney Ave, Newburgh, NY 12550. Internment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, 93 Union Ave, New Windsor, NY 12553.
