Raymond Setteducati entered peacefully into eternal rest on August 25, 2014. Raymond was born in the Bronx on May 6, 1923 to Mauro and Maria Sciaraba Setteducati. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Amelia DiMarco Setteducati in 2011. He is survived by his two sons, Stephen and his wife Mary, of Washingtonville, New York and Daniel of Monroe, New York. He was a proud and loving grandfather of Raymond, Stephen, and Daniel of Washingtonville, Christa and her husband, Jas Verem of West Orange, New Jersey, and Kim and her husband, Dan Cousino of Akron,, Ohio. He was also thrilled to see his two beautiful grand-daughters, Kaya and Reyna of West Orange, New Jersey. Ray was a retired blacksmith for the New York City Department of Sanitation. He was a proud member of Local 5, Boilermakers, Blacksmiths, Iron Workers, and Forgers. He served his country honorably as a member of the U.S. Army. Ray was an avid golfer, and enjoyed many years of bowling. He was very proud to say that he once bowled a perfect 300 game during League sanctioned play. His happiest times were spent with his family, and especially enjoyed large family dinners, holidays, and special celebrations. Ray had many dear friends throughout his life and enjoyed many happy times filled with love and laughter. Raymond was greatly loved and will be sadly missed by all. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the entire staff at Elant in Fishkill. We are most appreciative to Terri, Rosie, Betsy, Susan and Paula. They all went above and beyond to not only take care of his needs, but to show him love and personal attention every day. Thank you all so much. Visitation will be held from 6-9 pm on Thursday, August 28 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh.
