Richard J. Hollahan

Richard J. Hollahan, 77, of New Windsor, New York, passed away on May 13, 2025, in Newburgh, New York.

Born on October 25, 1947, in Rockland County, Richard was the son of the late Horace Charles Hollahan and Helen Jane Steppler. He attended school in New City, NY, and went on to serve his country honorably in the U.S. Army as a cook stationed in Germany.

Following his military service, Richard built a long-standing career as an I&R Technician with NY Telephone, Verizon, then later working for Manheim New York. His dedication to his work reflected his strong sense of responsibility and commitment.

Richard was married to the late Dorothy T. Haight Hollahan. He is survived by his step-grandchildren: Kaela L. Crisci, John B. McQuiston, and Shay C. McQuiston. He also leaves behind his beloved pet, Boots.

A graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery located at 93 Union Ave, New Windsor, NY 12553 on June 2nd at 10:00am.
