Richard Taylor Lapinski

It is with overwhelming sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Richard Taylor Lapinski who died unexpectedly on June 7, 2023, at the age of 35 years old in Newburgh, NY.
Richard was born on January 1, 1988, in Newburgh, NY to Richard Allen and Robin Anne Taylor Lapinski. He was a free-spirited child who could brighten any room with his smile and ocean blue eyes. This ability to make friends wherever he went followed into adulthood. Richard loved his family dearly and shared a special bond with his mother, they were best friends.
Richard graduated from Cornwall High School in 2006 and worked as a landscaper in the Newburgh area.
Richard is survived by his mother, Robin Anne Taylor Lapinski; stepfather Joseph Wood; his brother, who always had his back, Connar James Lapinski; his favorite aunt, Karen Leland; uncles Edward Lapinski and Marc Lapinski; cousins Nikolas Leland and Jonathan Leland, Christina Lapinski, Alyssa Lapinski, Thomas Hauck-Lapinski and Marykate Barger. Richard is also survived by his niece, Kimberly Nicole Lapinski, the apple of his eye.
Richard is predeceased by his father, Richard Allen Lapinski; his sister, Kim Suzanne Lapinski; maternal grandparents, James and Phyllis Taylor; and paternal grandparents, Edward Lapinski and Mildred Todd.
We are devastated about losing our Richard and he will be greatly missed by the rest of his family and friends.
A celebration of Richard's life will be held at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Avenue, Newburgh, NY on Monday, July 3rd at 3 pm.
