Richard Eugene Urbaniak, 78, of New Windsor, New York, passed away on June 26, 2025, at Montefiore St. Luke's Hospital in Newburgh, New York.

Born on July 18, 1946, in New York, New York, Richard lived a life marked by dedication, strength, and quiet generosity. He resided in New Windsor, New York, where he built a loving home and lasting legacy.

Richard spent his career in the telecommunications field, where his technical expertise and steadfast work ethic earned the respect of many. Outside of work, he was an avid hunter who found peace in the outdoors and a devoted martial artist who lived with discipline and focus.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Dorothy Urbaniak; his daughters, Jessica Ramos and her husband Angel Ramos, and Christina Dyckman and her husband Eddie Mejorado; his grandchildren, Devin McGuire and his wife Faith Furgeson, Daniel McGuire, Teagan McGuire, and Gillian McGuire; and his great-grandson, Ethan McGuire. Richard was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, and he will be remembered with love by all who knew him.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 1, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Brooks Funeral Home, located at 481 Gidney Avenue, Newburgh, NY 12550.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 2, at 11:00 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church, located at 145 Benkard Avenue, Newburgh, NY.
Burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery.
