Robert T. Mounier

November 28, 1940 ~ January 3, 2026

Robert "Bobby" Mounier passed away on January 3, 2026, at the age of 85. Born on November 28, 1940, in Harlem, NY, and raised in the Bronx, to Martin Mounier and Lorenza "Lenza" Rios, Bobby lived a life filled with love, humor, and unwavering devotion to the people he cherished.

Bobby shared 52 wonderful years with his beloved wife, Diane, and together—before her passing in 2020—they raised two children, Claudine and Rob, while living in New Windsor, NY. They were the pride and joy of his life, along with being a devoted and loving grandfather to Anthony and Emma.

A proud U.S. Army veteran, Bobby went on to enjoy a long and dedicated career as a Return Clerk at UPS in Manhattan. Outside of work, he found joy in collecting coins and stamps, reading, watching classic films, and immersing himself in military documentaries, musicals, and entertainment. He was an enthusiastic fan of Frank Sinatra, the New York Yankees, and his other favorite teams—the NY Giants, Rangers, and Knicks.

Known as the life of the party, Bobby loved gathering with friends and family, sharing his favorite Hollywood or sports clips, and filling every room with laughter through his quick wit and charm. Family and friends were always at the center of his world, and he made it a priority to stay connected with those he loved.

Bobby is survived by his children, Claudine and Rob, their spouses, Robert and Deirdre, and his grandchildren, Anthony and Emma Celentano. His legacy of love, humor, and treasured memories will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 10th from 11:00am ~ 2:00pm with a funeral service beginning at 1:30pm at Brooks Funeral Home located at 481 Gidney Avenue, Newburgh, NY 12550.
