Roberto Rivera Jr., born on April 11, 1975, in Beacon, New York, passed away on August 15, 2026, in Wallkill, New York. He was 51 years old.

Roberto, affectionately known as "Poncho" to those close to him, was a beloved father, son, brother, and friend.

He is survived by his daughter Alyssa Szady of New Paltz; his sons and best friends Antonio and Travis Rivera, who shared their home with him; and the mother of his sons, Gina Eagen. Roberto also leaves behind his devoted parents Carol and Roberto Rivera of Highland; his sister Jeannie; and his brother Willie. His nieces Shannon and Makayla Rivera and nephews William and Benjamin Rivera will forever hold him in their hearts. Additionally, he is remembered fondly by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members.

Roberto was predeceased by his grandparents William and Eugenia Evans and Moises and Juana Rivera. He also mourned the loss of his Uncle William Evans during his lifetime.

Though words cannot fully capture the depth of Roberto's life or the impact he had on those around him, his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

A Visitation will be held on August 22, 2026, from 02:00 PM to 05:00 PM at Brooks Funeral Home 481 Gidney Avenue.
